Here’s the formula:
For a win, one point for each opponent’s victories- I-AA teams count for half. For a loss, lose one point for each opponent’s loss- all teams.
For a win by more than 21 points, one half extra point for each opponent’s victory (1-A teams only)
For a loss by more than 21 points, loss one half extra point for each opponent’s loss (All teams)
For a road win, one extra point.
If a team defeats another team and has the same or a better record, they can’t be ranked below the losing team.
Notre Dame vaults to the top with a blowout win over Wake Forest past #2 Alabama. The Crimson Tide defeated Western Carolina and dropped a spot. #3 Oregon falls back one spot after close loss to Stanford and #4 Ohio State charges up 3 places with big win at Wisconsin. Kansas State falls back to #11 after loss to Baylor.
Georgia gets a push from #6 Florida to land at #5. LSU comes in at #7 thanks to wins over #8 Texas A&M and #13 South Carolina. #9 Florida State also gets a lift from early season victory over #10 Clemson.

UCLA #14 from #15 Nebraska.
Kent State #19 from #20 Rutgers
#23 Northern Illinois from #24 Ball State
#27 Ohio from #28 Penn State
